Permaculture Design Course Volunteering Opportunity

I am looking for one or two volunteers to support me on the upcoming London Permaculture Design Course and the Online Permaculture Design Course, both starting in November 2022.

This is a great opportunity, particularly if you hold a Permaculture Design Certificate already and are interested in exploring the teaching role, or simply want to deepen your knowledge of permaculture by going over the materials again while being in a different role.

Priority is given to those who have taken a Permaculture Design Course with Social Landscapes and those who have some previous knowledge or experience of permaculture. The role does not include an opportunity to gain a Permaculture Design Certificate.

What is asked of you?

  • Your presence during most of the sessions. Please check the different event pages for the dates and times (London PDC and Online PDC). The London course includes 4 weekends in London plus a few online meetings; the online course is delivered via zoom.

  • A commitment to be on time, which means arriving an hour before the sessions start and staying half an hour after it ends for the in-person sessions and 15 minutes before and after for the online sessions.

  • A maximum of 2 hours of extra commitment between weekends for the London course and between modules for the online course.

  • A commitment to good communication throughout the course with other teachers as well as participants.

What you get out of it?

  • An opportunity to deepen your knowledge of permaculture.

  • An experience of what goes into the organisation and delivery of a full Permaculture Design Course.

  • If wanted, support to practice your facilitation and teaching skills by delivering activities or sessions on the course.

  • Being part of a learning community for the duration of 6 months.

If you are interested, please fill the form below by October 17th. I will then be in touch during the following week.
