Can you imagine the end...

Can you Imagine
the end of our civilisation,
the end of our world,
the end
of you?

What is the difference between
the death of humanity,
the death of
your children’s future,
and the death
of you?

Aren't you dying
with every species that goes extinct
every river polluted,
every forest that's cut down?

What would it feel like
to sit still for a moment -
just a moment
away from your projects,
your ideas,
your hopes
and petty fears -
and imagine
the end of your world?

What would it feel like
to stop looking for excuses
and truly listen
to that voice
that's been trying
to get your attention,
trying
to tell you
that there is a deeper sense
to all things,
to life,
and to who
you
are?

What would it feel like
to wake up
and hear
the cry
of our
beautiful
planet?
